A landslide, and in it the land is the one who is angry. Nature has absorbed a great deal from people, and here it stops absorbing. The slope gathers and turns like an animal, roaring, and the earth that comes down is a reply. I let the whole surface lean one way while I was painting it, the way a body leans before it strikes, so the movement was in the paint before it was in the picture.
